Welcome to #BodyByCoachJeff! Logging your workouts correctly (through our official app, MyPTHub) is an essential part of tracking progress and ensuring you’re on the right path to achieving your fitness goals. Here are some key reminders to help you make the most out of your workout plan:
1. Set Your Starting Weight
The default weight set in all exercises within the workout assigned to you on the app is set to 1kg, but this is just a placeholder. Be sure to log the weight that feels appropriate for your current strength level, where you can complete the exercise effectively. This will be your starting point as you progress.
2. Progressively Increase Weights
Over time, you’ll become more comfortable with the routine. As your coach, I will monitor your logs and guide you when it’s time to increase the weights. Remember, progress is the goal, so don’t be afraid to challenge yourself when instructed.
3. Placeholder Workouts Are Temporary
The workouts included in your plan are set to cover the duration of your program but are not final. These are placeholders that may be modified over time based on your progress, feedback, and physique check-ins.
4. Always “Finish Workout”
After completing your workout, don’t forget to click “Finish Workout” in the app. This notifies me that you’ve completed your session. If you miss logging it, the system will register it as incomplete, so make it a habit to finalize your workouts.
5. Adaptability is Key
As you progress over the weeks, some exercises or even full workouts may be updated to align with your evolving needs and progress. Weekly physique and progress check-ins play a critical role in helping me make these adjustments.
6. Simplify Weight Logging
Don’t overthink weight logging—consistency is more important than perfection. For example, if you prefer not to log the weight of the bar and only record the total weight used, that’s completely fine. Just ensure you remain consistent in your approach.
7. Embrace the Process
Fitness is a journey, and it’s important to enjoy the process. Don’t hesitate to ask questions or seek clarifications—I’ll always do my best to respond promptly and guide you along the way.
